Freiburg International Academy
From March to May 2026, I completed a full-time preparation course at the Freiburg International Academy (FIA) in Germany, working toward the Kenntnisprüfung — Germany’s dental knowledge exam required to practice dentistry there. The curriculum covered the treatment categories recognized by German health insurance — Regelversorgung (standard care), gleichartige Versorgung (comparable care), and andersartige Versorgung (alternative care) — along with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and endodontics, plus hands-on training under faculty supervision.
The course gave me the foundation to confidently pursue the Kenntnisprüfung and a deeper understanding of Germany’s healthcare and health-insurance systems — the key step toward practicing dentistry there.
